8:00 a.m. – 4:15 p.m. – 3rd Annual Luxembourg American Cultural Conference

Luxembourg-American Relations over the Centuries

  • World War II:  The Luxembourg – American Saga

(Featuring the Recently Released Documentary – “Charlotte:  A Royal at War”)

  • The Evolution of Luxembourg-U.S. Business Relations

8:00 a.m. – Green Heart 5K Run/Walk, Belgium, WI

11:00 a.m. – Dedication of Luxembourg American Cultural Center – featuring music by The Luxembourg Fun Brass Band

12:00 noon – 3:00 p.m. – Cultural Center Open for Visitors

(Members: Free; Non-members: $8.00)

12:00 noon – 3:00 p.m. – Free Shuttle running between Cultural Center and Belgium Village Park

12:00 noon – 4:30 p.m. – Hamburgers, brats, refreshments, Belgium Village Park

2:00 p.m. – Luxembourg Fest Parade, Main Street, Belgium, WI

2:30 – 5:00 p.m. – “Semi-Live” performs (Country-Rock) with Penny Jesse & Randall “Bobcat” Ballard, Belgium Village Park

3:00 – 5:00 p.m. – Honored family heritage exhibits open for viewing, Belgium Municap Building (north of Village Park)

5:30p.m. – 10:00 p.m. – Green Heart Gala Dinner Auction, Benefiting the Cultural Society; Mequon Country Club-Mequon,WI RESERVATIONS REQUIRED (262-476-5086) 

Sunday, August 9

10:00 a.m. – Pageant recognizing Honored Families & Crowning of Duke & Duchess, Belgium Village Park

10:30 a.m. – Outdoor Mass, Belgium Village Park, Belgium, WI

11:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. – Cultural Center Open for Visitors

(Members:  Free; Non-members: $8.00)

12:00 noon – 4:00 p.m. – Free Shuttle running between Cultural Center and Belgium Village Park

12:30– 2:00 p.m. – Luxembourg Folk Dancers (Robert & Marianne Johanns with “Heesprenger” Dancers) – Performance & Workshop on Luxembourg Folk Dance – Cultural Center Parking Lot

2:00 – 4:00 p.m. – The Luxembourg Fun Brass Band performance, Cultural Center

4:00 p.m. – Drawing for Winner of Special Dedication Raffle Prize - $1,500 Best Buy Certificate – Drawing held at Cultural Center

11:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. – Luxembourg Fest:  Ethnic food and refreshments, music, honored family exhibit, Belgium Village Park

 

Monday, August 10

9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. – Cultural Center Research Center.  By appointment only.
